When someone wanders off, the area they could be in grows with every minute. A thermal drone covers ground no search party can walk, and it sees body heat — through darkness, through undergrowth, and across terrain nobody should be crossing on foot at night.

We fly a DJI Enterprise thermal aircraft. The thermal camera reads body heat against cooler ground, which is what makes a night search possible at all. A person lying still in long grass or under tree cover can be invisible to someone standing fifteen metres away — and obvious from the air.
Most of these calls are not dramatic. An older resident with dementia who left the house while the family was asleep. Someone who set out on a trail and did not come back. A visitor who took the wrong fork and lost the light. Finding them early is the whole game, because someone lost, dehydrated, and frightened goes downhill quickly in this climate.
We fly for missing pets too, and we make no apology for that. Losing an animal in this terrain is genuinely distressing, and most people would never think to ask whether it was possible.
The same aircraft does aerial imaging beyond search — site surveys, access mapping for a community, overwatch at events, and documentation after an incident.
One thing to be clear about: this supports a search, it does not replace one. Where the authorities are involved we work alongside them, not around them.
